Igor: Meet Butterfly She has blonde hair, glacier-blue eyes, and a smile that could quite possibly be the cause of global warming. Her name is Butterfly and, ably assisted by "A", her husband, her wholesome girl-next-door images have been warming up the e-pages at Voyeurweb since the last millennium. While we are very glad they decided to do so, we wish their non-Voyeurweb lives were less busy so they can contribute more often, hehehe! Butterfly says that becoming a contributor to Voyeurweb has been a positive experience for her and "A", both individually and as a couple, allowing them to spread their sexual wings, meet new and interesting people, and in building confidence in themselves and their relationship. Butterfly is also the first Voyeurweb contributor we know of who was the unofficial pin-up girl for the workers at the local power company ... seems someone in Butterfly's home town saw a contri and the word (and photos) spread like wildfire, but more about that in the interview. Speaking of which, let's get to it ...

(1) Igor: How and when did you become aware of Voyeurweb and was it you or your husband who first found the site? What was your first reaction to the site?
Butterfly: Well, "A" had been looking at VW for about a year before he shared it with me. One night we were having a discussion in which I had shared with him my fantasy of being with another woman. We were sharing our ideas on what we thought was sexy ... I had always thought that playboy and glamour models were what I liked and wanted to look like.
"A" said that he preferred amateur models (I had never even considered them). He finally showed VW to me and I really liked it. It really opened my eyes to the fact that everyday people could be more erotic and artistic in their photos than the women I was used to looking at ... I saw a place where I could be involved and express my sexuality in a whole new way.

2) Igor: What made you decide to start contributing? Had you ever done anything like this -- taking and posting pictures of yourself naked -- before?
Butterfly: We had taken some nude photos before, when we first got together. I went to a professional photographer and had some pictures taken and even did some nude modeling for him, so the idea of posing naked didn't phase me. We actually even sent some into Hustler's "beaver hunt."
After we found VW we got a disposable camera and took some pics (my first contri) and actually had them developed at the local Photomat. I couldn't figure out why it took 3 weeks to get the pics back ... I hope they enjoyed them!
We finally figured out that we needed a digital camera so we could have instant gratification (and leave the folks at Photomat to look at their own pictures). Once we started taking pics we couldn't stop!

3) BK/Voyeurweb: Has the experience of contributing enhanced your relationship or lives in any way? If so, how?
Butterfly: Absolutely! We have grown sexually over the years that we've been contributing, I really feel that VW was the catylyst for that -- we have found a community where we met a lot of like-minded people both on the boards and in real life.
We've met several couples that we've learned a lot from and had first experiences with -- we realize that we're not alone in our views and that gives us a level of comfort to be able to experiment with the things we want to do and fantasize about things that we, in the past, maybe didn't think were possible.

4)BK/Voyeurweb: Have you ever had sex with more than one person at the same time? If so, how did that come about, was it all women, or men, or both?
Butterfly: I had my first bisexual experience with Spunky Brunette (remember her?) back in '99, thanks to VW. We met on the boards and got to know each other, it was the first time for either of us. It was a great experience! She and her boyfriend were wonderful people and really made us comfortable with our descision.
After that we decided to involve the guys ... there wasn't any full blown swapping, but it was the first time I had been intimate with more than one person at a time. After that I was involved in several situations where it was myself, another female and another male. I have yet to have intercourse with anyone besides my husband, but it's something we both fantasize about. I guess we're just waiting for the right person and the right time ... stay tuned.
5) Igor: What is it that keeps you contributing to Voyeurweb? For example, many of VW's lovely contributors say they like the positive comments they receive.
Butterfly: Well, of course the positive comments are encouraging, to have so many people say such wonderful things about you is a fabulous feeling. Of course I get negative comments, too. I really want to say that it's a shame that some contributors are driven away by negative comments. Everyone gets them, it's inevitable, you can't please everyone no matter how hard you try.
It's hard not to take the negative things personally, especially in the beginning. I remember my first few contris; people would say that I needed a boob job or tell me to hit the gym ...or tell me I looked like a crackwhore (that's one of my favorites!) and I really took it personally, we would take more pictures and I would obsess over all the little details.
Finally, I realized that it's not about a couple of people who don't like you for whatever reason they may have; it's about having your own fun and maintaining your confidence and that's where the excitement of it all comes from. I think it's just the thrill of it all: Millions of people are seeing you at your most personal moments and it's exciting to know that.
When you take a set of pictures that you think are really great and you get to share them with that many people it's quite an erotic experience. Voyeurweb gives us an outlet for a part of our lives that is very important to us yet hard to express in our everyday lives. We have found a place with lots of like-minded people and enjoy sharing that side of us with them.

6) BK/Voyeurweb: Have you had sex with Igor and, if so, how often? We ask this question of everyone due to the huge volume of e-mail VW gets each day either assuming Igor has had sex with every woman pictured on Voyeurweb, or asking if he has.
Butterfly: Of course! We try to have sex at least once a month. Actually, I have never had the pleasure of meeting Igor in person although I am looking forward to it! Someday we'll get our paths to cross. We acutally were hoping to meet him in 2000. We were scheduled to go on our honeymoon and he was going to be in the same airport as us at the same time but our honeymoon was unfortunately cancelled and we never had the opportunity to meet. Hopefully at the next Hedo trip?
(7) Igor: Hopefully WHAT at the next Hedo trip? Sex with me?...hehehehe...good...I will be there! Talking about you and me having sex: What is the most embarassing or humorous thing that has happened to you while shooting a contri for VW? Which contri was it?
Butterfly: I think the one thing that stands out is the first time we met Mistress Nina and J ...we were doing a shoot and, in this particular shot, I was straddling Nina. J was all ready to take the picture when he came running up to me and said "Wait! you have a strand of hair hanging from your nether regions." When my husband went to remove it we all realized that I was just so excited that my juices were flowing and it wasn't a hair at all ... I was ready to go!

8) BK/VW: Do you have a favorite sex toy? If so, what makes it your favorite?
Butterfly: It's actually kind of funny, but it's a "Hello Kitty" vibrator that my husband bought for me a few years back. Not being very experienced with toys, I wasn't very interested in it at first. I finally gave it a try and found that it really did it for me! We still pull it out from time to time to keep things interesting. I do have to say, though, that the glass dildo that Mistress Nina has really intrigues me and I'm looking into getting one for myself. I've seen it in action and I am truly amazed!

9) BK/Voyeurweb: Now that's something I'd like to see! ... How did you two meet and what do you do when not taking photographs for Voyeurweb? You don't have to be too detailed here, we do want to protect your privacy.
Butterfly: Well, we've always kind of known each other -- we grew up in the same town and hung out in the same circle of friends. "A" is five years older than me, so it was always a little inappropriate for us to be interested in each other.
When I turned 18 it just so happened that "A" had a dream about me and it prompted him to call me.
Igor: I can guess what kind of dream that was! Hehehe! But go on. ?
Butterfly: I had just broken up with my longtime boyfriend and the timing couldn't have been better. We went on our first date on a Monday and by Wednesday were inseperable. We have been together ever since.
Free time, what's that? I work so much that it's hard to find free time but, when I do, I like to do stained glass, read, and spend time with the people close to us.
"A" is very into music and reading, he's always trying to learn something new. I always feel bad because I wish I had more time to spend emailing the people who are kind enough to leave me comments on my contris and getting to know people on the BB's.
We've met some great people and I wish I could get to know them better, and the people we have gotten to know I wish I could correspond with more often than I do.
(10) BK/Voyeurweb: Are you active in any of Voyeurweb's other activities? Which ones?
Butterfly: Hmmmm...activities... Well, besides our extracurricular activities meeting people, we aren't as involved as we'd like to be. We haven't had the opportunity to go on a hedo trip yet (although we're looking forward to that in the, hopefully, near future).
We try to have fun with the special themes and keep up on the BB's, mostly RC when we can. We've seen so many great pics on there, chatted with so many fun people, and on occasion had the oppurtunity to meet other like-minded couples. That's about the extent of our involvement.

(11) Igor: In your photographs you always seem to be having fun. Do you plan all of your contris ahead of time and then take the pictures or are they totally spontaneous?
Butterfly: Nine times out of ten they are planned. Like I said, we get a lot of inspiration from the special themes, so we plan them out as much as we can. With our busy schedule it's hard to find time to take pictures, so when an idea strikes us we try to plan it out as best as we can.
I can say that some of our sets have started out with one idea in mind and have led to places we never expected. One set in particular that I can recall, in my red corset and thigh highs, started out pretty tame, we had just wanted to take a few classy pictures. I ended up getting so turned on during the shoot that the pictures ended up being pretty explicit, which usually isn't my style.
You never know where a shoot is going to end up, especially when we meet other couples. The time we met Nikki and Jamie is another great example. We got together to have a few drinks and a good time and next thing you know we're flashing in front of police cars! Now that wasn't planned! It's always interesting, we just try to always keep an open mind and go with the mood.

(12) BK/VW: This question is for both of you. Of all the photos of you've had posted on Voyeurweb, which are your favorites and why?
Butterfly: Probably my second contri to Private Shots, maybe in June of 2000.
Hubby actually borrowed his boss' digital camera for that set. We hung up a black sheet in the background and I wore a see through white top and G-string. I made the front page (which was soooooo exciting) and actually ended up winning Private Shots that month.
I really liked the pictures. I think -- to this date -- they are my favorite pictures of myself. It's hard to see yourself favorably in pictures, always picking out little flaws that nobody else would even notice, but I felt really good about that set. We were very excited when it was posted. Apparently the rest of my town was, too. Somebody in my town had seen the pictures and the word spread like wildfire.
Pretty soon, people were coming into the place where I worked and calling me "Butterfly." It was crazy! The power company guys even printed out the pictures and had them hanging in their trucks! It was scary knowing that so many people that I knew personally and saw on a daily basis had seen the contri, but it also made me feel very good. It gave me a lot of confidence that I didn't have before and maybe that's why it's my favorite set.
A: Good question and thanks for asking for my input on the subject. My favorite set is probably one of the only spontaneous sets that we have done together. The NIP pics that were posted in September of 2000 are by far my faves. We were on our way to a BBQ and just pulled the car over, hopped out and starting taking some pics.
Butterfly (lol, weird calling her that) was not dressed for pics, or all "done up," just ready for a summertime cookout with family and friends. However, the pics turned out great! She just looks to me in those pics like the all-American girl, happy and enjoying life. The pic where you see the close-up of her smiling is the girl I fell in love with, that's her "everyday."

13) BK/VW: You're right, Butterfly looks like the penultimate girl next door in that photo. So, Buttefly, how many consecutive orgasms have you had at one time and what were the circumstances?
Butterfly: Hahahaha! Actually, the most orgasms I have ever had is one ... Hey, I'm still young! We're working on this though. We're always trying new things and techniques, so I'll keep you updated on my progress.
(14) Igor: What do you both get out of contributing to Voyeurweb? Have you ever recommended to a friend that they should contribute?
Butterfly:Where do I start? ...Voyeurweb has been so great for me and for us as a couple. The first thing it did for me was build confidence in my self image. I realized that I didn't need to be a Pamela Anderson lookalike or a Playboy centerfold.
The VW community really surprised me. I realized that there is beauty in everyone and I saw a great opportunity to express myself. For the first time, I saw that there were other people out there that were like me and that was exciting. I couldn't wait to get involved and get to know everyone.

We've made some really special friendships; it's nice to know that you can really be yourself around another couple without wondering if they're going to think you're a freak or judge you. It has given us an outlet to express ourselves sexually and explore and be creative with it. We are learning our limits and expanding our limits and getting all different kinds of viewpoints from all different kinds of people.
We've seen VW grow so much since we became a part of it, but it still feels like a family, a special little place that we are a part of where we can be ourselves. We have told a couple of different friends about it and encouraged them to contribute. In both cases they were interested, but not quite ready to put themselves out there, on the line -- when you're not really familiar with how it all works at Voyeurweb (even though we tried to explain), it can be a very intimidating thought to know that you will be exposed to millions of people and be judged.

Butterfly: I guess the only thing I would like to say is that, when we first got involved with Voyeurweb, it was pure fun -- the thrill of taking pictures, seeing yourself in a whole new way and sharing that with so many people, it's invigorating! We got so excited about the whole thing, the thrill of it all and all the great people in the VW community that encouraged us, that we wanted more. That was when we started our website, Butterfly's Den. At first it was fun, a continuation of the excitement we had experienced in Private Shots, Freestyle and RedClouds.

After a few months of very hard work (I admire the women who do maintain websites....it's a full time job!), for us it lost its thrill. Taking new pictures and coming up with new ideas constantly became more of a chore than anything ... eventually we were overwhelmed and realized that having our own wasn't the right move for us, so we retired the site and kind of dropped out of the whole scene for a while. All the recognition I recieved in my town along with all the work that came with maintaining the website kind of pushed us away from what we had once enjoyed.
We discussed our feelings with each other and agreed that what we both truly loved was really sending in the occasional contri, doing a special theme or just playing on the BB's and slowly we re-immersed ourselves in Voyeurweb. We are finally right back where we were in the beginning, enjoying ourselves.
