• Sienna Spring Blooms
While we really love private shots, the outdoors is what we live for. Thank goodness Spring is finally here! We did a couple freestyle contris this winter, and everyone complimented the nice hard nipples, but the goose bumps were almost as big... ;-) We are enjoying unseasonably good weather here, and are putting it to great use. We will try to spread the sunsine around a bit :-) Sienna and AH
  • Sienna'S Second Snowshoe Series
Well you can't say we don't listen! With our first snowshoe series, we got lots of comments saying more Sienna, less signs... Well here is an all Sienna series, with just enough nature to provide a backdrop. Guess we could have made this part 4 of the National Parks series, but we are waiting for a sunny day to highlight our very favorite national park.
  • Sienna Lights The Night Sky
We were thrilled with our creativity award last month, and we have been constantly thinking about new creative things we might try. This is our first shot at catching fireworks, and we learned a lot... just wait till 4th of July! :-) Knowing the fireworks would not last long, and knowing we would need long (3 second) exposures to catch them, we set two cameras on tripods and blazed away. 10 minutes and almost 250 pictures later, we had a lot of shots to pick through. It may be worth showing the outtakes sometime, as they are pretty funny too (ghost images, blurs, double exposures from when both flashes fired while one shutter was open). In a couple of these shots you can see the results of Sienna moving after the flash had fired, and the city lights appear to burn through her body. We always get a kick out of people's guesses about where the pictures were taken. I am sure we will get some "I am sure that is San Antonio, and I can tell you within a block of where you were";-) This one will likely be a bit obvious... As always, we loved shooting them, and hope you enjoy viewing them. Sienna and Sienna's adoring husband
  • Sienna Painting With Light
We always have a lot of fun with our picture taking sessions, but we were looking for something a little different for indoor shots. These were made by leaving the camera's shutter open for 30 seconds and "painting" Sienna with the beam from a flashlight. We are still working on it, as there are lots of challenges (Sienna holding very still, and me getting the right amount of light in all the right places). Thought you might enjoy our first attempt... We have lots of ideas for introducing new elements as we figure this out:-)
  • Sienna National Parks 3
Part 3 in our National Parks series, and we suspect everyone will guess this one... we had been holding back the obvious post-card set, thinking that only the park aficionados would be able to identify the location. Most everyone who tried correctly guessed even with the more obscure views in the park :-) The next series should be tougher. We still plan to donate to The National Parks in the name of whomever correctly identifies each location. These shots were a lot of fun, but the water was cold! Looking over the edge from the rim was disorienting, as you had a hard time telling how far down it was. I think that the sense of that comes through in the photos taken from up on the rim. Hope you enjoy...
