Reaping the Rewards - Rose arrived back at her hotel and a nice young valet held the door for her as she alighted from the car. She left him the keys (feeling strangely exhilarated by his attention), then made her way from the car to her suite. Throwing her briefcase on the bed she made herself more comfortable and phoned her secretary with instructions concerning the Deal. It didn't seem that long since she herself was the secretary, and days like this were just a fantasy. Although it was only afternoon the day's events seemed like a perfect reason to celebrate so Rose phoned room service and asked them to bring up a bottle of champagne. She took off her clothes and lay back on the bed. To her annoyance the phone rang again, but when her caller turned out to be the CEO she had met today, she was actually pleased to hear from him. He said he had some more papers for her to sign and suggested that he call personally at her hotel so they could meet in the lobby and go over them that evening, after which he would be honored if she would accompany him to dinner. She lay back on the bed, idly running her fingers through her hair, thinking that he was a very nice looking guy. She surprised herself by suggesting that he come directly to her room so they could work there. He seemed delighted with this arrangement and said he would be there around six. Rose was in the middle of deciding what she could wear that night when the room service man arrived with her champagne. She wrapped a towel around herself and answered the door; he came in and opened the bottle with a pop! Like the rest of the staff at this hotel he was very attentive, and as she was feeling particularly generous, before she knew it she had given him an enormous tip! Laying back in the bath, drinking bubbly in the bubbles, she reflected on what a wonderful day it had been and that it appeared that the evening could turn out to be just as exciting. She had no idea that the Business World could be so rewarding!
