This contri was a lot of fun from start to finish. We woke up a couple hours before sunrise in an effort to get to the lake while the light was still nice. Temperatures in the North Cascades are a little chilly in the fall, and looking at the first couple shots, I think you can just about feel the chill in the air. We shot about 300 images, and it was all I could do to edit down to my 40 favorites. In order to spare the poor VW viewers the monotony of 4 contris from 1 shoot, we enlisted the help of some of our good friends at the CBB to narrow things down. As luck would have it, they didn’t choose several of my favorites, so I still ended up sending 2 contris. These are the ones they did not choose, but I think they set up the majesty of the scene.
