Rose - Running On Empty Part One - Don't you just hate it when you get a flat tire? Don't you hate it even more when it happens while you are by yourself some place in the middle of nowhere? I guess I should be thankful that it didn't happen at night in the pouring rain, but that it happened during my favorite time of the day - when the sun was shining. So, there I was with a flat tire, the temperature close to a hundred, and not a white knight in sight. Although it was a quiet road, you would have thought that there would have been a trucker passing by that could have helped a damsel in distress, or at least some country boy in a pick up wearing coveralls, all muscled and tanned *sigh*. Unfortunately, there wasn't either of these options so it was obviously up to me to fix the darn thing myself. It isn't that I don't know how to do it, it is more that I wasn't really dressed for mechanical work. White shirts and short skirts are definitely not the recommended apparel for working on a vehicle!
