Ostia Antica, is named after the ostium, or mouth of the Tiber. In antiquity the river flowed past the city on the north, in a channel, the Fiume Morto, dry since a great flood in 1557. According to legend, Ostia was founded by Ancus Marcius, fourth king of Rome, to guard the mouth of the river Tiber. Couples do you like Rome? Let's come to visit it. Rome e dintorni offrono sempre innumerevoli spunti e c'e ancora tanto da visitare. Ringraziamo tutti coloro che ci hanno sempre manifestato simpatia ed apprezzamento anche quelli volgari ed anonimi(bontà loro!).
