If you are considering a trip to Fantasy Fest next year take note. Hotels, Motels, Bed and Breakfasts and Guesthouses fill up early. If you don't already have reservations for next year plan on doing some hunting to find a place that isn't already booked up. Key West is never what you'd call a "cheap" destination. October is normally the "low" season, but the second week of Fantasy fest is considered a special event. Expect to pay 2 to 3 times normal room rates, and expect a minimum stay of 3 to 7 nights depending on where you stay. Do yourself a favor if at all possible leave your car at home. There is simply no place to park so much as a Yugo. Old Town is a small place, everything is walking distance. Pdpmema
