Sarstock In Toronto 2

SARStock in Toronto on July 30th was the "largest ticketed rock festival in history" according to organizers, with over 450,000 gals and guys in attendance to see The Rolling Stones, AC/DC, Rush, The Guess Who and 10 other acts in a 500-acre park (former military airbase) in the middle of Toronto. The goal was to show Toronto was a safe place to visit after the recent SARS outbreak (which is no longer any problem). SARS had crushed tourism and visits to Toronto and The Rolling Stones, which have adopted Toronto as their home base for their last three tours wanted to help out by drawing attention to Toronto being ready again for tourists. The young ladies in these photos were quite happy to show how healthy they are to a crowd gathered around a misting station in 90 degree heat. All were sweethearts and good sports. The police didn't intervene -- because topless is legal in Ontario -- until morons started throwing plastic water bottles at each other and several fellows successfully serving as impromptu emcees. No injuries or arrests resulted but the water was shut off and attention returned to the stage and numerous beer gardens where many young women lounged topless (but my disposable camera was used up -- maybe someone else has those pictures). One cutie who didn't flash explained that it was only because her mom was in the crowd...
